93. Ad-Dhuha

The surah that opens with the oath of the Divine One swearing by the The Morning Brightness and the night when all falls still. It is named after "the morning brightness" (ḍūḥā), mentioned in verse 1. The surah is an address to the Prophet Muḥammad, to reassure him, when he had not received revelation for some time, that his Lord had not forsaken him.
The surah is also known as: Daylight, Early Hours of Morning, Morning Bright, Morning Light, The Forenoon, The Glorious Morning Light, The Morning.

AZ-ZUHAA


بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَٱلضُّحَىٰ ﴿١﴾

١ - آفتاب کی روشنی کی قسم
[93:1] By the morning brightness
[Transliteration] Wad duhaa

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ﴿٢﴾

٢ - اور رات (کی تاریکی) کی جب چھا جائے
[93:2] And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,
[Transliteration] Wal laili iza sajaa

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ﴿٣﴾

٣ - کہ (اے محمدﷺ) تمہارے پروردگار نے نہ تو تم کو چھوڑا اور نہ( تم سے )ناراض ہوا
[93:3] Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].
[Transliteration] Ma wad da'aka rabbuka wa ma qalaa

وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ﴿٤﴾

٤ - اور آخرت تمہارے لیے پہلی (حالت یعنی دنیا) سے کہیں بہتر ہے
[93:4] And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].
[Transliteration] Walal-aakhiratu khairul laka minal-oola

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ ﴿٥﴾

٥ - اور تمہیں پروردگار عنقریب وہ کچھ عطا فرمائے گا کہ تم خوش ہو جاؤ گے
[93:5] And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.
[Transliteration] Wa la sawfa y'uteeka rabbuka fatarda

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ ﴿٦﴾

٦ - بھلا اس نے تمہیں یتیم پا کر جگہ نہیں دی؟ (بےشک دی)
[93:6] Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?
[Transliteration] Alam ya jidka yateeman fa aawaa

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ ﴿٧﴾

٧ - اور رستے سے ناواقف دیکھا تو رستہ دکھایا
[93:7] And He found you lost and guided [you],
[Transliteration] Wa wa jadaka daal lan fahada

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ ﴿٨﴾

٨ - اور تنگ دست پایا تو غنی کر دیا
[93:8] And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.
[Transliteration] Wa wa jadaka 'aa-ilan fa aghnaa

فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ﴿٩﴾

٩ - تو تم بھی یتیم پر ستم نہ کرنا
[93:9] So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].
[Transliteration] Fa am mal yateema fala taqhar

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ﴿١٠﴾

١٠ - اور مانگنے والے کو جھڑکی نہ دینا
[93:10] And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].
[Transliteration] Wa am mas saa-ila fala tanhar

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ﴿١١﴾

١١ - اور اپنے پروردگار کی نعمتوں کا بیان کرتے رہنا
[93:11] But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].
[Transliteration] Wa amma bi ni'mati rabbika fahad dith
