The surah that opens with a riveting description of The Splitting of the sky and the levelling of the earth as a sign of the commencement of the Day of Resurrection. It is named after the "splitting open" (inshiqāq) of the sky mentioned in verse 1. The surah deals with the inevitability of man’s meeting with his Lord on the Day of Judgement. The obedience of the sky and earth is contrasted with the disobedience of the disbelievers. The reaction of the believers and of the disbelievers on the Day of Judgement is described.
The surah is also known as: Bursting Asunder, Ripped Apart, Splitting Open, The Bursting, The Cleaving, The Rending, The Rending Asunder.

AL-INSHIQAAQ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ ﴿١﴾
١ - جب آسمان پھٹ جائے گا .
[84:1] When the sky has split [open]
[Transliteration] Izas samaaa'un shaqqat
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ ﴿٢﴾
٢ - اور اپنے پروردگار کا فرمان بجا لائے گا اور اسے واجب بھی یہ ہی ہے .
[84:2] And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]
[Transliteration] Wa azinat li Rabbihaa wa huqqat
وَإِذَا الْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ ﴿٣﴾
٣ - اور جب زمین ہموار کر دی جائے گی .
[84:3] And when the earth has been extended
[Transliteration] Wa izal ardu muddat
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ ﴿٤﴾
٤ - جو کچھ اس میں ہے اسے نکال کر باہر ڈال دے گی اور (بالکل) خالی ہو جائے گی .
[84:4] And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it]
[Transliteration] Wa alqat maa feehaa wa takhallat
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ ﴿٥﴾
٥ - اور اپنے پروردگار کے ارشاد کی تعمیل کرے گی اور اس کو لازم بھی یہی ہے (تو قیامت قائم ہو جائے گی) .
[84:5] And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] -
