The surah that depicts the final separation of the believers and unbelievers on the Day of Judgment by an unscalable edifice called The Elevations that veils them from one another; but upon it stand men and women who can see both the people destined for Paradise and those fated for Hell, while their own harrowing verdict remains as yet undeclared by God. It is named after "the Elevations" (al-Aʿrāf) mentioned in verse 46 ff. The surah begins by addressing the Prophet Muḥammad, reassuring him about his revelations, and closes emphasizing the fact that he merely repeats what is revealed to him. It warns the disbelievers of their fate via numerous stories of disobedient communities of the past, in the hope that they may take heed and repent before it is too late. Both subjects also serve to give encouragement to the Prophet and the believers.
The surah is also known as The Battlements, The Faculty of Discernment, The Heights, The Ramparts, Wall Between Heaven and Hell

وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ يَا فِرْعَوْنُ إِنِّي رَسُولٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿١٠٤﴾

١٠٤ - اور موسیٰ نے کہا کہ اے فرعون میں رب العالمین کا پیغمبر ہوں .

[7:104] And Moses said, "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds

[Transliteration] Wa qaala Moosaa yaa Fir'awnu inee Rasoolum mir Rabbil 'aalameen

حَقِيقٌ عَلَىٰ أَنْ لَا أَقُولَ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِلَّا الْحَقَّ ۚ قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِبَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَأَرْسِلْ مَعِيَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ﴿١٠٥﴾

١٠٥ - مجھ پر واجب ہے کہ خدا کی طرف سے جو کچھ کہوں سچ ہی کہوں۔ میں تمہارے پاس تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے نشانی لے کر آیا ہوں۔ سو بنی اسرائیل کو میرے ساتھ جانے کی رخصت دے دیجیے .

[7:105] [Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel."

[Transliteration] Haqeequn 'alaaa al laaa aqoola 'alal laahi illal haqq, qad ji'tukum bibaiyinatim mir Rabbikum fa arsil ma'iya Baneee Israaa'eel

قَالَ إِنْ كُنْتَ جِئْتَ بِآيَةٍ فَأْتِ بِهَا إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ ﴿١٠٦﴾

١٠٦ - فرعون نے کہا اگر تم نشانی لے کر آئے ہو تو اگر سچے ہو تو لاؤ (دکھاؤ) .

[7:106] [Pharaoh] said, "If you have come with a sign, then bring it forth, if you should be of the truthful."

[Transliteration] Qaala in kunta ji'ta bi Aayatin faati bihaaa in kunta minas saadiqeen

فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُبِينٌ ﴿١٠٧﴾

١٠٧ - موسیٰ نے اپنی لاٹھی (زمین پر) ڈال دی تو وہ اسی وقت صریح اژدھا (ہوگیا) .

[7:107] So Moses threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent, manifest.

[Transliteration] Qa alqaa 'asaahu fa izaa hiya su'baanum mubeen

وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاءُ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ ﴿١٠٨﴾

١٠٨ - اور اپنا ہاتھ باہر نکالا تو اسی دم دیکھنے والوں کی نگاہوں میں سفید براق (تھا) .

[7:108] And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white [with radiance] for the observers.

[Transliteration] Wa naza'a yadahoo fa izaa hiya baidaaa'u linnaazireen

قَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ ﴿١٠٩﴾

١٠٩ - تو قوم فرعون میں جو سردار تھے وہ کہنے لگے کہ یہ بڑا علامہ جادوگر ہے .

[7:109] Said the eminent among the people of Pharaoh, "Indeed, this is a learned magician

[Transliteration] Qaalal mala-u min qawmi Fir'awna inna haazaa lasaa hirun 'aleem

يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِكُمْ ۖ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ ﴿١١٠﴾

١١٠ - اس کا ارادہ یہ ہے کہ تم کو تمہارے ملک سے نکال دے۔ بھلا تمہاری کیا صلاح ہے؟ .

[7:110] Who wants to expel you from your land [through magic], so what do you instruct?"

[Transliteration] Yureedu ai yukhrijakum min ardikum famaazaa taamuroon

قَالُوا أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَأَرْسِلْ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ ﴿١١١﴾

١١١ - انہوں نے (فرعون سے) کہا کہ فی الحال موسیٰ اور اس کے بھائی کے معاملے کو معاف رکھیے اور شہروں میں نقیب روانہ کر دیجیے .

[7:111] They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers

[Transliteration] Qaalooo arjih wa akhaahu wa arsil filmadaaa'ini haashireen

يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَاحِرٍ عَلِيمٍ ﴿١١٢﴾

١١٢ - کہ تمام ماہر جادوگروں کو آپ کے پاس لے آئیں .

[7:112] Who will bring you every learned magician."

[Transliteration] Yaatooka bikulli saahirin 'aleem

وَجَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ قَالُوا إِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ ﴿١١٣﴾

١١٣ - (چنانچہ ایسا ہی کیا گیا) اور جادوگر فرعون کے پاس آپہنچے اور کہنے لگے کہ اگر ہم جیت گئے تو ہمیں صلہ عطا کیا جائے .

[7:113] And the magicians came to Pharaoh. They said, "Indeed for us is a reward if we are the predominant."

[Transliteration] Wa jaaa'as saharatu Fir'awna qaaloo inna lanaa la ajjran in kunnaa nahnul ghaalibeen

قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ ﴿١١٤﴾

١١٤ - (فرعون نے) کہا ہاں (ضرور) اور (اس کے علاوہ) تم مقربوں میں داخل کرلیے جاؤ گے .

[7:114] He said, "Yes, and, [moreover], you will be among those made near [to me]."

[Transliteration] Qaala na'am wa innakum laminal muqarrabeen

قَالُوا يَا مُوسَىٰ إِمَّا أَنْ تُلْقِيَ وَإِمَّا أَنْ نَكُونَ نَحْنُ الْمُلْقِينَ ﴿١١٥﴾

١١٥ - (جب فریقین روزِ مقررہ پر جمع ہوئے تو) جادوگروں نے کہا کہ موسیٰ یا تو تم (جادو کی چیز) ڈالو یا ہم ڈالتے ہیں .

[7:115] They said, "O Moses, either you throw [your staff], or we will be the ones to throw [first]."

[Transliteration] Qaaloo yaa Moosaaa immaaa an tulqiya wa immaaa an nakoona nahnul mulqeen

قَالَ أَلْقُوا ۖ فَلَمَّا أَلْقَوْا سَحَرُوا أَعْيُنَ النَّاسِ وَاسْتَرْهَبُوهُمْ وَجَاءُوا بِسِحْرٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿١١٦﴾

١١٦ - (موسیٰ نے) کہا تم ہی ڈالو۔ جب انہوں نے (جادو کی چیزیں) ڈالیں تو لوگوں کی آنکھوں پر جادو کردیا (یعنی نظربندی کردی) اور (لاٹھیوں اور رسیوں کے سانپ بنا بنا کر) انہیں ڈرا دیا اور بہت بڑا جادو دکھایا .

[7:116] He said, "Throw," and when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them, and they presented a great [feat of] magic.

[Transliteration] Qaala alqoo falam maaa alqaw saharooo a'yunannaasi wastarhaboohum wa jaaa'oo bisihrin 'azeem

وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۖ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ ﴿١١٧﴾

١١٧ - (اس وقت) ہم نے موسیٰ کی طرف وحی بھیجی کہ تم بھی اپنی لاٹھی ڈال دو۔ وہ فوراً (سانپ بن کر) جادوگروں کے بنائے ہوئے سانپوں کو (ایک ایک کرکے) نگل جائے گی .

[7:117] And We inspired to Moses, "Throw your staff," and at once it devoured what they were falsifying.

[Transliteration] Wa awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa an alqi 'asaaka fa izaa hiya talqafu maa yaafikoon

فَوَقَعَ الْحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١١٨﴾

١١٨ - (پھر) تو حق ثابت ہوگیا اور جو کچھ فرعونی کرتے تھے، باطل ہوگیا .

[7:118] So the truth was established, and abolished was what they were doing.

[Transliteration] Fawaqa'al haqqu wa batala maa kaanoo ya'maloon

فَغُلِبُوا هُنَالِكَ وَانْقَلَبُوا صَاغِرِينَ ﴿١١٩﴾

١١٩ - اور وہ مغلوب ہوگئے اور ذلیل ہوکر رہ گئے .

[7:119] And Pharaoh and his people were overcome right there and became debased.

[Transliteration] Faghuliboo hunaalika wanqalaboo saaghireen

وَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ ﴿١٢٠﴾

١٢٠ - (یہ کیفیت دیکھ کر) جادوگر سجدے میں گر پڑے .

[7:120] And the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah].

[Transliteration] Wa ulqiyas saharatu saajideen

قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿١٢١﴾

١٢١ - اور کہنے لگے کہ ہم جہان کے پروردگار پر ایمان لائے .

[7:121] They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds,

[Transliteration] Qaaloo aamannaa bi Rabbil 'aalameen

رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ ﴿١٢٢﴾

١٢٢ - یعنی موسیٰ اور ہارون کے پروردگار پر .

[7:122] The Lord of Moses and Aaron."

[Transliteration] Rabbi Moosaa wa Haaroon

قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ آمَنْتُمْ بِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَمَكْرٌ مَكَرْتُمُوهُ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ لِتُخْرِجُوا مِنْهَا أَهْلَهَا ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿١٢٣﴾

١٢٣ - فرعون نے کہا کہ پیشتر اس کے کہ میں تمہیں اجازت دوں تم اس پر ایمان لے آئے؟ بےشک یہ فریب ہے جو تم نے مل کر شہر میں کیا ہے تاکہ اہلِ شہر کو یہاں سے نکال دو۔ سو عنقریب (اس کا نتیجہ) معلوم کرلو گے .

[7:123] Said Pharaoh, "You believed in him before I gave you permission. Indeed, this is a conspiracy which you conspired in the city to expel therefrom its people. But you are going to know.

[Transliteration] Qaala Fir'awnu aamantum bihee qabla an aazana lakum, inna haaza lamakrum makartumoohu filmadeenati litukhrijoo minhaaa ahlahaa fasawfa ta'almoon

لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ ثُمَّ لَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ﴿١٢٤﴾

١٢٤ - میں (پہلے تو) تمہارے ایک طرف کے ہاتھ اور دوسری طرف کے پاؤں کٹوا دوں گا پھر تم سب کو سولی چڑھوا دوں گا .

[7:124] I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides; then I will surely crucify you all."

[Transliteration] La uqatti'anna aidiyakum wa arjulakum min khilaafin summa la usallibannakum ajma'een

قَالُوا إِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُونَ ﴿١٢٥﴾

١٢٥ - وہ بولے کہ ہم تو اپنے پروردگار کی طرف لوٹ کر جانے والے ہیں .

[7:125] They said, "Indeed, to our Lord we will return.

[Transliteration] Qaaloo innaaa ilaa Rabbinaa munqaliboon

وَمَا تَنْقِمُ مِنَّا إِلَّا أَنْ آمَنَّا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا لَمَّا جَاءَتْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ ﴿١٢٦﴾

١٢٦ - اور اس کے سوا تجھ کو ہماری کون سی بات بری لگی ہے کہ جب ہمارے پروردگار کی نشانیاں ہمارے پاس آگئیں تو ہم ان پر ایمان لے آئے۔ اے پروردگار ہم پر صبرواستقامت کے دہانے کھول دے اور ہمیں (ماریو تو) مسلمان ہی ماریو .

[7:126] And you do not resent us except because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us. Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims [in submission to You]."

[Transliteration] Wa maa tanqimu minnaaa illaaa an aamannaa bi Aayaati Rabbinaa lammaa jaaa'atnaa, Rabbanaaa afrigh 'alainaa sabranw wa tawaffanaa muslimeen

وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ أَتَذَرُ مُوسَىٰ وَقَوْمَهُ لِيُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَيَذَرَكَ وَآلِهَتَكَ ۚ قَالَ سَنُقَتِّلُ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَنَسْتَحْيِي نِسَاءَهُمْ وَإِنَّا فَوْقَهُمْ قَاهِرُونَ ﴿١٢٧﴾

١٢٧ - اور قومِ فرعون میں جو سردار تھے کہنے لگے کہ کیا آپ موسیٰ اور اس کی قوم کو چھوڑ دیجیے گا کہ ملک میں خرابی کریں اور آپ سے اور آپ کے معبودوں سے دست کش ہوجائیں۔ وہ بولے کہ ہم ان کے لڑکوں کو قتل کرڈالیں گے اور لڑکیوں کو زندہ رہنے دیں گے اور بےشک ہم ان پر غالب ہیں .

[7:127] And the eminent among the people of Pharaoh said," Will you leave Moses and his people to cause corruption in the land and abandon you and your gods?" [Pharaoh] said, "We will kill their sons and keep their women alive; and indeed, we are subjugators over them."

[Transliteration] Wa qaalal mala-u min qawmi Fir'awna atazaru Moosaa wa qawmahoo liyufsidoo fil ardi wa yazaraka wa aalihatak, qaala sanuqattilu abnaaa 'ahum wa nastahyee nisaaa'ahum wa innaa fawqahum qaahiroon

قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ اسْتَعِينُوا بِاللَّهِ وَاصْبِرُوا ۖ إِنَّ الْأَرْضَ لِلَّهِ يُورِثُهَا مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ۖ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿١٢٨﴾

١٢٨ - موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ خدا سے مدد مانگو اور ثابت قدم رہو۔ زمین تو خدا کی ہے۔ وہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جسے چاہتا ہے اس کا مالک بناتا ہے۔ اور آخر بھلا تو ڈرنے والوں کا ہے .

[7:128] Said Moses to his people, "Seek help through Allah and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allah. He causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous."

[Transliteration] Qaala Moosaa liqawmihis ta'eenoo billaahi wasbiroo innal arda lillaahi yoorisuhaa mai yashaaa'u min 'ibaadihee wal 'aaqibatu lilmuttaqeen

قَالُوا أُوذِينَا مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنَا وَمِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جِئْتَنَا ۚ قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَنْ يُهْلِكَ عَدُوَّكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١٢٩﴾

١٢٩ - وہ بولے کہ تمہارے آنے سے پہلے بھی ہم کو اذیتیں پہنچتی رہیں اور آنے کے بعد بھی۔ موسیٰ نے کہا کہ قریب ہے کہ تمہارا پروردگار تمہارے دشمن کو ہلاک کردے اور اس کی جگہ تمہیں زمین میں خلیفہ بنائے پھر دیکھے کہ تم کیسے عمل کرتے ہو .

[7:129] They said, "We have been harmed before you came to us and after you have come to us." He said, "Perhaps your Lord will destroy your enemy and grant you succession in the land and see how you will do."

[Transliteration] Qaaloo oozeenaa min qabli an taatiyanaa wa mim ba'di maa ji'tanaa, qaala 'asaa Rabbukum ai yuhlika 'aduwwakum wa yastakhli fakum fil ardi fayanzura kaifa ta'maloon

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ بِالسِّنِينَ وَنَقْصٍ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ ﴿١٣٠﴾

١٣٠ - اور ہم نے فرعونیوں کو قحطوں اور میووں کے نقصان میں پکڑا تاکہ نصیحت حاصل کریں .

[7:130] And We certainly seized the people of Pharaoh with years of famine and a deficiency in fruits that perhaps they would be reminded.

[Transliteration] Wa laqad akhaznaaa Aala Fir'awna bis sineena wa naqsim minas samaraati la'allahum yazzakkaroon

فَإِذَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْحَسَنَةُ قَالُوا لَنَا هَٰذِهِ ۖ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَطَّيَّرُوا بِمُوسَىٰ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّمَا طَائِرُهُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿١٣١﴾

١٣١ - تو جب ان کو آسائش حاصل ہوتی تو کہتے کہ ہم اس کے مستحق ہیں۔ اور اگر سختی پہنچتی تو موسیٰ اور ان کے رفیقوں کی بدشگونی بتاتے۔ دیکھو ان کی بدشگونی خدا کے ہاں مقرر ہے لیکن ان میں اکثر نہیں جانتے .

[7:131] But when good came to them, they said, "This is ours [by right]." And if a bad [condition] struck them, they saw an evil omen in Moses and those with him. Unquestionably, their fortune is with Allah, but most of them do not know.

[Transliteration] Fa izaa jaaa'at humul hasanatu qaaloo lanaa haazihee wa in tusibhum saiyi'atuny yattaiyaroo bi Moosaa wa mam ma'ah, alaaa innamaa taaa'iruhum 'indal laahi wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon

وَقَالُوا مَهْمَا تَأْتِنَا بِهِ مِنْ آيَةٍ لِتَسْحَرَنَا بِهَا فَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٣٢﴾

١٣٢ - اور کہنے لگے کہ تم ہمارے پاس (خواہ) کوئی ہی نشانی لاؤ تاکہ اس سے ہم پر جادو کرو۔ مگر ہم تم پر ایمان لانے والے نہیں ہیں .

[7:132] And they said, "No matter what sign you bring us with which to bewitch us, we will not be believers in you."

[Transliteration] Wa qaaloo mahmaa taatinaa bihee min Aayatil litasharanaa bihaa famaa nahnu laka bimu'mineen

فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الطُّوفَانَ وَالْجَرَادَ وَالْقُمَّلَ وَالضَّفَادِعَ وَالدَّمَ آيَاتٍ مُفَصَّلَاتٍ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا مُجْرِمِينَ ﴿١٣٣﴾

١٣٣ - تو ہم نے ان پر طوفان اور ٹڈیاں اور جوئیں اور مینڈک اور خون کتنی کھلی ہوئی نشانیاں بھیجیں۔ مگر وہ تکبر ہی کرتے رہے اور وہ لوگ تھے ہی گنہگار .

[7:133] So We sent upon them the flood and locusts and lice and frogs and blood as distinct signs, but they were arrogant and were a criminal people.

[Transliteration] Fa arsalnaa 'alaihimut toofaana waljaraada walqum mala waddafaadi'a waddama Aayaatim mufassalaatin fastakbaroo wa kaanoo qawmam mujrimeen

وَلَمَّا وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّجْزُ قَالُوا يَا مُوسَى ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِنْدَكَ ۖ لَئِنْ كَشَفْتَ عَنَّا الرِّجْزَ لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ لَكَ وَلَنُرْسِلَنَّ مَعَكَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ﴿١٣٤﴾

١٣٤ - اور جب ان پر عذاب واقع ہوتا تو کہتے کہ موسیٰ ہمارے لیے اپنے پروردگار سے دعا کرو۔ جیسا اس نے تم سے عہد کر رکھا ہے۔ اگر تم ہم سے عذاب کو ٹال دو گے تو ہم تم پر ایمان بھی لے آئیں گے اور بنی اسرائیل کو بھی تمہارے ساتھ جانے (کی اجازت) دیں گے .

[7:134] And when the punishment descended upon them, they said, "O Moses, invoke for us your Lord by what He has promised you. If you [can] remove the punishment from us, we will surely believe you, and we will send with you the Children of Israel."

[Transliteration] Wa lammaa waqa'a 'alaihimur rijzu qaaloo ya Moosad-u lanaa rabbaka bimaa 'ahida 'indaka la'in kashafta 'annar rijza lanu 'minanna laka wa lanursilanna ma'aka Banee Israaa'eel

فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْزَ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ هُمْ بَالِغُوهُ إِذَا هُمْ يَنْكُثُونَ ﴿١٣٥﴾

١٣٥ - پھر جب ہم ایک مدت کے لیے جس تک ان کو پہنچنا تھا ان سے عذاب دور کردیتے تو وہ عہد کو توڑ ڈالتے .

[7:135] But when We removed the punishment from them until a term which they were to reach, then at once they broke their word.

[Transliteration] Falammaa kashafnaa 'anhumur rijza ilaaa ajalin hum baalighoohu izaa hum yankusoon

فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُوا عَنْهَا غَافِلِينَ ﴿١٣٦﴾

١٣٦ - تو ہم نے ان سے بدلہ لے کر ہی چھوڑا کہ ان کو دریا میں ڈبو دیا اس لیے کہ وہ ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلاتے اور ان سے بےپروائی کرتے تھے .

[7:136] So We took retribution from them, and We drowned them in the sea because they denied Our signs and were heedless of them.

[Transliteration] Fantaqamnaa minhum fa aghraqnaahum kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa wa kaanoo 'anhaa ghaafileen

وَأَوْرَثْنَا الْقَوْمَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا يُسْتَضْعَفُونَ مَشَارِقَ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبَهَا الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا ۖ وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ الْحُسْنَىٰ عَلَىٰ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا ۖ وَدَمَّرْنَا مَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ فِرْعَوْنُ وَقَوْمُهُ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْرِشُونَ ﴿١٣٧﴾

١٣٧ - اور جو لوگ کمزور سمجھے جاتے تھے ان کو زمین (شام) کے مشرق ومغرب کا جس میں ہم نے برکت دی تھی وارث کردیا اور بنی اسرائیل کے بارے میں ان کے صبر کی وجہ سے تمہارے پروردگار کا وعدہٴ نیک پورا ہوا اور فرعون اور قوم فرعون جو (محل) بناتے اور (انگور کے باغ) جو چھتریوں پر چڑھاتے تھے سب کو ہم نے تباہ کردیا .

[7:137] And We caused the people who had been oppressed to inherit the eastern regions of the land and the western ones, which We had blessed. And the good word of your Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel because of what they had patiently endured. And We destroyed [all] that Pharaoh and his people were producing and what they had been building.

[Transliteration] Wa awrasnal qawmal lazeena kaanoo yustad'afoona mashaariqal ardi wa maghaari bahal latee baaraknaa feehaa wa tammat kalimatu Rabbikal husnaa 'alaa Baneee Israaa'eela bimaa sabaroo wa dammarnaa maa kaana yasna'u Fir'awnu wa qawmuhoo wa maa kaanoo ya'rishoon
