49. Al-Hujraat

The surah that criticized as ill-mannered and uncouth those who would stand behind the Apartments of the Prophet’s wives and call him forth for discourse with raised voices. It takes its name from the word "apartments" (ḥujurāt) in verse 4. The surah guides the believers on how to behave with proper respect towards their leader (verse 1 ff.), and with mutual respect and trust towards each other (verse 9 ff.). It stresses the unity of mankind and God’s intention that people should live together in harmony (verse 13). It criticizes the desert Arabs for their presumptuous attitude to their faith and to God (verse 14 ff.).
The surah is also known as: The (Inner) Apartments, The Chambers, The Inner Apartments, The Private Quarters, The Private Rooms.

AL-HUJURAAT


وَإِنْ طَائِفَتَانِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ اقْتَتَلُوا فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ فَإِنْ بَغَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا عَلَى الْأُخْرَىٰ فَقَاتِلُوا الَّتِي تَبْغِي حَتَّىٰ تَفِيءَ إِلَىٰ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَإِنْ فَاءَتْ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَهُمَا بِالْعَدْلِ وَأَقْسِطُوا ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ ﴿٩﴾
٩ - اور اگر مومنوں میں سے کوئی دو فریق آپس میں لڑ پڑیں تو ان میں صلح کرا دو۔ اور اگر ایک فریق دوسرے پر زیادتی کرے تو زیادتی کرنے والے سے لڑو یہاں تک کہ وہ خدا کے حکم کی طرف رجوع لائے۔ پس جب وہ رجوع لائے تو وہ دونوں فریق میں مساوات کے ساتھ صلح کرا دو اور انصاف سے کام لو۔ کہ خدا انصاف کرنے والوں کو پسند کرتا ہے .
[49:9] And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make settlement between the two. But if one of them oppresses the other, then fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the ordinance of Allah. And if it returns, then make settlement between them in justice and act justly. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.
[Transliteration] Wa in taaa'ifataani minal mu'mineenaq tataloo faaslihoo bainahumaa fa-im baghat ih daahumaa 'alal ukhraa faqaatilul latee tabhee hattaa tafeee'a ilaaa amril laah, fa-in faaa't fa aslihoo bainahumaa bil'adli wa aqsitoo innal laaha yuhibbul muqsiteen
