The surah that mentions the practical fragility of the webbed home of The Spider as an analogy for those who take false deities as a shelter. It takes its name from verse 41 which mentions "the spider" (ʿankabūt). The surah stresses that believers will be tested and that they should remain steadfast. The misconceptions of disbelievers regarding the nature of revelation and the Prophet are addressed. References are made to earlier prophets and details given of the punishments brought on those who denied them.

AL-ANKABOOT


قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ بَدَأَ الْخَلْقَ ۚ ثُمَّ اللَّهُ يُنْشِئُ النَّشْأَةَ الْآخِرَةَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ﴿٢٠﴾
٢٠ - کہہ دو کہ ملک میں چلو پھرو اور دیکھو کہ اس نے کس طرح خلقت کو پہلی دفعہ پیدا کیا ہے پھر خدا ہی پچھلی پیدائش پیدا کرے گا۔ بےشک خدا ہر چیز پر قادر ہے .
[29:20] Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent."
[Transliteration] Qul seeroo fil ardi fanzuroo kaifa baa al khalqa summal laahu yunshi''un nash atal Aakhirah, innal laaha 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer
